A warm welcome awaits you at the Quantock Tearoom

PLEASE NOTE… due to advice received regarding the Coronavirus pandemic, the Tea Room will be closed for the foreseeable future. We are able to provide sandwiches and drinks to take away whilst the Tea Room is closed.

However, the shop and Post Office will remain open pending further advice from the government and Post Office Ltd.

We are at the heart of the friendly village of Nether Stowey, gateway to the glorious Quantock Hills.

We pride ourselves on the high quality of our food. Set yourself up for the day with a mouth-watering breakfast. Drop in for morning coffee and a snack. Enjoy a light lunch washed down with a choice of soft drinks or local beers and ciders. And if you are passing through in the afternoon, you’ll love our delicious cream teas and home-made cakes and pastries!

Whether you are touring by car, walking, cycling, or visiting the National Trust Coleridge Cottage, our tearoom is a must-visit. Part of Stowey’s busy post office and stores, it’s the hub of the village. Buy your maps and local books and guides from us. Choose postcards and greetings cards. Stock up on home-baked breads and chilled and frozen foods. Browse a range of attractively packaged gifts for family and friends.

Nether Stowey was once home to the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. With its ancient castle mound, historic houses, clock tower, and the stream flowing gently down the street, the village is deservedly popular with visitors to this beautiful part of Somerset. You’ll find plenty of B&B accommodation in the village, so make us the base for your holiday break.

We look forward to meeting you!
